Fantastic location, beautiful village.

Had a bit of a challenge with the wifi, but we were only there for one night so it wasn't too much of an issue.

Very clean good size location beautiful, quality linens and kitchen utensils lovely to have fresh milk

Not really anny negatives garden couuld have been tidied and weeded but didnt impact our stay

We’ve stayed here before and it’s a lovely little cottage and in a brilliant location. The village is amazing. Excellent base outside of York to visit different places.

Location was really great.

Small issues of cleanliness, resolved with host.

It was very comfortable and homely.

It took a while to warm up, heating is electric night storage radiators.

It was spacious for one person the pub was opposite

I arrived on a cold and damp evening. I wanted to be warm but several of the storage heaters had either been turned off or were very low. I contacted the owner who said nothing could be done. It was so cold my nose was freezing the log burner had a sign that it was not to be used. There was an additional heater but the living room was so large it had little effect. I would say the next morning it was toasty but that did help me the previous night. Also I did not realise how busy the road past the cottage got in the morning. Parking on the steep side road next to the cottage was against grass or a bank so you could only get your belongings from one side.

Very comfortable and well equipped in a lovely location. Cosy pub across the road where we had a good meal.

It would have been nice to have tea, coffee and sugar provided. There were some de-caff sachets of coffee but can't complain really as price very good.
