The Crows Nest

A lovely cosy apartment that is well equipped with everything you might need for a short stay. The location is great with lovely sea views from the living room.

Overall a lovely apartment. Loved sitting in front of the wood burner. Nice view of the bay from the lounge window. Comfortable living room sofas.

The original message said to call the owner when nearing Eyemouth. After repeated calls and no reply, we spotted a more recent message giving the key code. My partner suffers from back problems and the mattress on the double bed was too thin and not supportive enough. Also we had a problem with the slats coming apart the first night! There was also a small rip in the duvet cover. I tried again to call the owner the next day and no reply. I only got through by messaging on booking.com. He came out very quickly and apologised for his phone being on do-not-disturb and for the problems with the bed. He said he'd try get a new mattress but would unlikely be during our stay. As a sweetener he did provide enough wood and materials for the burner for our whole stay. Prior to that there was only enough for 1 night. The TV is freeview I think and on a stormy/rainy day reception is very poor.

The Crow’s Nest is a very comfortable and well set out apartment; most things you need are to be found. It is also very dog friendly. Centrally situated it is convenient for most things. The bakery around the corner is a gem, offering fresh bread and croissants from 6am!

If you find climbing stairs a challenge, then this apartment may not be for you, the clue is in its name. One minor point, having a clean scouter and dishcloth with washing up liquid may be helpful.

Really nice apartment, perfect for my work and my wife and kids had nice days in and around the village, they went to cafes, played on the beach, my daughter went in the sea(!) they all watched the seals… really nice relaxing time. Great location, plenty of free safe parking for car and van, nice chippy, just a really good relaxing stay. I recommend it for families and couples for a steady break.
