the guy on reception was reasonable and realized that, as a lone biker i had nowhere to go at that time in the afternoon and at least let me make a cup of tea after riding in the pouring rain for 10 hours.

i booked late and arrived at 7.30pm. the reception was unmanned and i waited for nearly an hour for someone to turn up. when they did, they informed me you didn't get the booking and power was out on three boats so there was nothing available. i ended up sleeping in a room above the reception which was only partially the way through being renovated.

It was very peaceful relaxing and tranquil and the swans swimming up to greet you each morning was a bonus
