Apartment 4 The Grove

Comfortable, spacious flat in convenient location for the city centre. The flat was very clean, with good central heating that warmed the property really quickly. We liked that the carpeted bedrooms were 'no shoe' zones as it meant the carpets were really clean. Plenty of storage. Nice artwork on the walls.

The kitchen was generally well stocked (plenty of pans, cutlery, serving bowls coffee machine) but there was a shortage of crockery. As a family of four eating in, we would have welcomed a little more crockery. For example, when it came to dinner plates there were only 4 non-matching ones, and there were only 5 non-matching mugs. We washed up a lot! The bathroom is very large but not that comfortable with a cold, tiled floor with discoloured grout,

The "off the beaten track" away from the noisy main road was a bonus, as was the location.

Parking. The narrow drive way was a bit challenging as you always had to reverse.

The apartment was in a good location for our needs; the host was quick to reply to a query that we had on arrival. Very clean and comfortable all round. Good to have tea, coffee and milk there already when we arrived, but Sainsbury's just up the road for a quick shop if need be.(8min. walk) Would definitely use this place again if in the area.

Maybe make sure the information guide to the apartment is in place. This was not available to us this time. (e.g. Wi-Fi password, which bins to use for re-cycling,- there was only one black bin bag in the kitchen, so we weren't sure if there was any food, paper, plastic recycling) Sky television wasn't working - message said it was not connected to the router which we couldn't find

Loved the solitude seeing as my partner and I just sought time away for ourselves. House was clean, quiet and cosy.

Was disappointed there wasn't a little milk to make a cup of tea upon arrival till we did a shop the next day.

Great location, very peaceful albeit being near the road. The flat was very clean. Good water pressure in the shower and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen well equipped.

On arrival there was no sponge/scotch for washing up and only 3 dinner plates. I did speak to Toast and they provided these. One of the dining chair had a wobbly leg, this was not dealt with. To the left of the entrance there are overgrown bramble and other weeds. It's very unsightly. All the gutters and down pipes had plants and moss growing in them. We were worried about what would have happened in case of heavy rain. Only one tea towel was not enough.

A very loud swearing man was in apartment below which spoilt our stay. Rung agent twice and had to ring police
