Only thing wrong was a sewage smell

Location and street parking is excellent, perfect for our visit to the principality stadium. I was wary after reading reviews but the flat was clean and adequate. The owner co.municated incredibly well, offering reccomdations on restaurants, checking in that we were settled on the first day.

There is a old musty smell in the hallway and when you enter the living room , the flat was clean it just didn't smell it. The carpets aren't fitted , a bit of a DIY job by the looks of things. I would say a few simple changes to the accommodation with new fitted carpets and neutral woodwork would make a huge difference. The location was excellent but it was steeply priced for what it is.

The property was only a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Close to a park and local shops.

The property was poorly decorated and quite dirty, a lot of dust as well as stains on the walls, skirting and furniture. The mattress and sofa were both lumpy and past their best making them very uncomfortable. The transom windows above the doors were dirty and the one above the bedroom door needs a blind as there is too much light from other rooms, this coupled with the poorly fitting curtains makes it very difficult to sleep. The kitchen although well equipped was not cleaned properly, pots, pans and plates were also in need of cleaning. The cutlery was clean but unfortunately the drawer in which it was stored was not.

The location was convenient (we were going to an event at the Principality Stadium which is an easy 15 minute walk along the riverside). The place has a lot of natural light and was warm and cosy. Plenty of space in the bedroom and living room, and the kitchen was fine, and well equipped for a few days. There was plenty of wardrobe and storage space in the property as well.

Calling the accommodation "Cardiff apartment with free parking" implies that the property comes with free parking. Actually, it's just on a road where parking is available. If you arrive mid to late evening then you may struggle to park. It's really convenient for the Principality Stadium though so if you're looking to attend an event then it's a good place to park anyway (without having to rent any accommodation). Overall the place feels a little shabby. It was pretty clean, but there are stains on the sofa and bed cover that had not come out. The rug in the living room is curling up at the edges (trip hazard) and this kind of sums the place up. The bed (not as pictured) was not very comfortable (watch your toes and shins on the low sharp corners as well) but the springs were amusingly tuneful when you roll over in the night. In fairness, it's an old building that's been converted into apartments so sound proofing is always going to be an issue. The people upstairs were not particularly noisy, but you could hear conversations and there was not a quiet way of closing doors. It's the nature of the building though. I think we got lucky that the people upstairs were considerate. The place needs a bit of proper TLC, rather than just being painted over. Oil a few hinges, sort the bed out, and a few other minor things and it would be so much better.

Everything required was in the accommodation including towels and a number of provisions.

A floor board in the bedroom next to the bed was a hazard as it lifted the bedside table up if you stood on it.
