1 bed central Cardiff Apartment

• living and kitchen area is spacious enough for 2 (would appear so much bigger if the yellow was painted a lovely neutral colour!- look so much nicer too!) • kitchen had everything we needed, (except spare bin liners) and good bench space for small kitchen, and good appliances  • park opposite- green space close by always a positive  • free parking available adjacent to apartment / close was fantastic  • can easily walk to town centre and castle  • communication from owners was very good 

• very disappointed • although the apartment resembled the photos it was not comfortable • the bed is Queen size- NOT a King bed as advertised • carpets frayed, at edges, not properly installed,  gives apartment a tatty feel • mat in the living room is turned up at the corners and is a safety / falls risk (we moved it under couch) • bed groans and squeaks with minimal movement, is lumpy.  Very uncomfortable. I know comfort is subjective, but a bed with lumps will always be uncomfortable. • all furniture looked and felt cheap • doors squeak ( an easy fix!) and/or don't shut easily • I never like the tatty "stuff"/ "decor" that collects dust, is not functional, and just uses space that guests want to use -  I put the (awful) fake plant in the bedroom corner into the living room cupboard so that I had somewhere to put my case • noise from upstairs an issue (including banging/hammering or something- 2/3 nights!) Could hear the people above us walking around - (and talking and laughing until 3am the first night, and very late on the last night too).. Not the owners fault but the apartment is not at all soundproof. Hard when it is an old apartment. • windows above internal lounge and bedroom and bathroom doors let light into the bedroom- not good if one person is trying to sleep, and other person is up. • locale not very inviting Would recommend /suggest: • case/luggage racks in the bedroom • install a block out blind at internal window above bedroom door • clear(er) instructions re heating, towel rails. • a couple of small shelves in the bathroom near the basin, ( ike the one above the toilet, but who would put personal items above the toilet and above the rusty toilet brush holder?

The apartment was a good size and good location for Cardiff. We were able to park close by.

Although the apartment was clean, it didn’t smell fresh at all. It needs some TLC and a bit of updating. The bed creaked. We had an issue with the toilet as soon as we arrived, which was put right quickly. We were disappointed and decided to leave early.

- It’s light and bright; the pictures are accurate of how much light can filter through the big window on a sunny day. - There’s enough space to feel comfy. - Plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe and enough places to store a couple of suitcases. - Kitchen is well equipped and laid out. - Hot shower. - There’s a full length mirror. - There’s a park across the road which is the hub of the community apparently. Lots of life, lots of grass, a playground, places for kids to run. - Great location! 15 minute walk to the city along the river, five minute bus ride to The Bay, a Tesco supermarket 7 minutes walk away.

- There were a few issues with the cleaning when I arrived and the hosts took the feedback on board when I contacted them about it. - There needs to be an extension cord provided so that you can blow dry your hair or shave in the bathroom (there’s no power point in there, I hear this is British thing?). - It can be noisy: it shares the same building as another rented apartment and you can hear them stomping up and down the stairs and in the room above the bedroom. There’s also a fairly busy little road out the front and the place is on speed bump. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper! - The doorbell needs to be clearly labeled (an easy fix but my Uber Eats driver struggled to find the right button!).

The apartment was spacious and very bright. The bathroom was really big as well as the bedroom.

Unfortunately, we were told there would be a fireplace, and there was none. The bed was really unsafe, and the screws were really loose. After telling the owner, no one came to fix it. There was a hole behind the bed, where i saw spiders coming in and out. The area was a little unsafe, too.

This one bedroom apartment was stunning, vibrant and very clean. It was cosy and felt like home. Amazing location, this place is a hidden gem. Minor issues immediately fixed by Hazel. Hazel was absolutely amazing, everything was very pleasant.

everything was great.

the flooring made a lot of noice specially even if someone would walk it would make a lot of noice. if you would sit on the bed the floor next to the bed would rise for some reason.
