JOIVY Splendid 2-BR Flat near Edinburgh Castle

Very small room - despite being promised a ‘deluxe substitute room’ following the cancellation of our unit by the owners in Canning Place - not a fair swap at all.

La localisation correcte, l'accès simple (code + carte), le calme (extérieur uniquement), l'ascenseur, le confort du matelas et des oreillers.

Concernant la chambre d'hôtel : superficie de la pièce (très petite pour le prix), l'isolation phonique inexistante, couette trop petite (prévue pour un lit 1 personne...), salle de bain minuscule, peu d'espace pour se déplacer dans la pièce. Il manque une petite table avec deux chaises par exemple. Concernant Booking : bravo pour la réactivité de relogement suite à une annulation de l'hôte précédemment sélectionné. En revanche nous sommes très insatisfaits de la solution qui nous a été proposée car bien que le prix et le secteur soient équivalents, les prestations ne l'était pas : nous avions réservé initialement un logement de 34 m2 avec une cuisine et un espace salon, et malheureusement la chambre qui nous a été attribuée était deux fois plus petite et ne proposait ni cuisine ni séjour. La configuration de la pièce ne permettant pas la prise de repas contrairement à l'appartement réservé initialement, nous avons été contraints de prendre l'intégralité de nos repas à l'extérieur, ce qui a engendré plus de frais que prévu sur notre séjour. La superficie de la pièce n'était par ailleurs pas mentionnée dans la proposition de relogement aussi nous avons été un peu pris au dépourvu en arrivant. Bien entendu nous comprenons la difficulté de trouver des logements à proximité du centre ville d'Édimbourg, mais ils aurait été agréable que Booking nous précise que même si les conditions tarifaires étaient identiques à notre réservation initiale, les prestations étaient bien en deçà de et non "équivalentes". Cela a particulièrement entaché notre séjour sur la partie finances (pas pour le reste heureusement), néanmoins dans un cas comme celui-ci nous aurions aimer être au moins averti de manière plus détaillée et éventuellement obtenir une compensation financière.

Lo atentos y amables que fueron contestando todas las dudas y la situación no está muy mal,a unos nueve minutos de la estación de Haymarket y unos treinta del castillo (andando) y tienes al lado un Lidl.

No me gustó que nos cambiaran el apartamento, no es el de la foto que era moderno y más cerca del centro, pero quedaban pocos días y nos cambiaron a otro mucho más viejo, no está mal,las camas cómodas,el sofá incomodísimo para sentarnos los cuatro por la noche, necesita mucha renovación, sobre todo el suelo, varios agujeros, lavabos pequeños,sin lavavajillas, no era el que habíamos alquilado pero al quedar poco tiempo para llegar ya no encontramos nada y nos tuvimos que quedar en éste.

The third bedroom is not really a bedroom! It had nothing but a single bed! No units, shelves, no mirror, nowhere to put anything. We bought a couple of dining chairs in to put luggage and clothes on so it was ok but considering how well furnished the rest of the apartment was it was a bit disappointing.

The property is in a great location, we felt very central and within walking distance of everything/everywhere we wanted to explore. The property itself was spacious, clean and met all our expectations. Overall we had a lovely stay and the property was everything we needed it to be.

This was the first time we have ever used a passkey as entry to the door and it took some getting used to, the aspect I didn't like was there is no lock on the door once you're in the property which meant although it was locked from the outside it didn't feel as secure as a traditional lock. The only other thing in the property that could be improved is to add curtains to the bedroom as the blinds do not keep the light out as much as we would have liked.

Very good location walking distance into the city center

Uncomfortable beds I was in alot of pain Creaky stairs going up to the lounge Broken sofa couldn’t use one of them and there was 4 of us

The location is in the middle of Edinburgh, you can literally walk to everywhere. If you used train from London to Edinburgh, it is a short walk to the place. A little bit challenge if you got suitcase, but if none, it's totally fine.
