Entire 1 Bed - Number 39 - The Cosy Collection Ltd

Great location. Easy to get to all the attractions we were wanting to explore. Lots of choices for eating out or grocery store for cooking in. Safe during the day or at night. Very quiet facility. Very close to train station. Definitely will stay here again.

We arrived by train and there is construction outside the terminal so the first few steps of the instructions need to be updated. There is no white picket fence any longer.

Generally nice a quiet for a busy city location. Nice touch to have tea, milk, biscuits, miniature gin and tonic for guests on arrival.

Pity the milk though UTH was several months past its best before date. Referenced several times in emails about breakages and damages charges. So was surprised to see an apparently bent curtain rail in the lounge, the kitchen clock looked to have dropped several times. Standard lamp in lounge gives of only a slight glow so I suspect this is faulty. Strange goings on with the shower. Around 10 - 30 minutes after using the shower, water would run again sometimes for several minutes, sometimes just a little flow (dripping) sometimes as if the shower was running half flow. All while set to off. Finally why so many emails. The property was booked through booking.com. So every email was duplicated (cosy collection and booking.com). Approximately 22 emails!

Location excellent: convenient for station and city, but also quiet. Apartment stylish and comfortable. Apartment quite well equipped.

Dishwasher stopped working during stay (we did report this). No microwave in apartment (which we hadn't realised on booking). Bathroom floor look like it hadn't been wet-cleaned. Would have been helpful if a dustpan and brush was provided.

Easy to find with the directions given. Well situated for enjoying the sights of York. Apartment was very cosy and quiet. We didn’t see anyone else on our floor (5th). Nicely furnished with a comfortable king bed which is always important. Bathroom nicely appointed with a great shower and good towels. We travelled to York by train, car certainly not necessary.

Lack of instructions for using the cooker although we did manage as we have an induction hob at home! The two frying pans do not work on the hob as not suitable for induction, they looked unused because of that! Unfortunately on the one occasion I needed to use, I couldn’t so compromised with the oven! A microwave would be useful as every home has one, although not a lot of space for one. Just a note for The Cosy company. Far too many emails with repeated messages became irritating after a while, repeating the same messages over and over again!!
