Entire penthouse apartment with sea views Portrush

Great location within Portrush and good communication from owner with check in instructions, use of heating etc. Kitchen is well equipped and everything seemed brand new and recently decorated. Very nicely presented throughout.

It's a bit of a stretch to label this a penthouse. A very scruffy back entrance via a rough alley and climb up an outdoor staircase which is essentially a fire escape. The studio is well kitted out, but slanting attic ceiling only allows for small windows, so enjoying the super sea view requires some contortionist moves around the furniture in the very narrow lounge. I felt it was overpriced at £120 for one night in March.

Location was great, apartment was clean except the corner where the leak was.

Apartment was freezing when we arrived, took a good 2 hours to get to ideal temp. Although the owner informed us the heating would be off, it wasn’t pleasant to arrive to. There was nothing other than the basics. There was no soap in shower, no tea bags or coffee and no hand soap in bathroom. As we were only staying for one night, having to go out and buy all of these things was a pain. The main issue was there was a really bad leak that looks like it has been there for a while. The whole wall and paint was peeling away and the wall was soaking wet. A chest of drawers had been used to hide some but the room smelt damp and the lack of heating meant the wall was dripping with water. I’ve attached a photo. I messaged the owner to let him know politely incase the recent rain had made this worse and I was worried, the lack of any response shows clearly this is not something they really care about. A disappointing stay especially considering the price.

Lovely apartment, had everything that was needed. Beautiful view of the sea.

Great location and private entrance to property. Good facilities and very clean.

Suggest maybe a security like at the back entrance near the step/ wooden gate.
