"Worth every penny!!"

We came to Danbury Lodge for our honeymoon after getting married in Matlock Bath. Everything about this property is stunning. The decor, the views, the added little extras and the hosts are amazing. If only every host was Richard and Cathy. Nothing is ever too much. It's out second time staying at Danbury lodge and we would stay over and over again. Your hard work that goes into keeping here shows, it's immaculate and everywhere smells so clean. Other reviews complain about the steep hill, we love it. You aren't going to get the stunning views on a main road. Definitely worth the extra strain on the legs. Thank you again for everything.

"A little gem in Matlock Bath"

Clean and comfortable. Great shower. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely views from bedroom and lounge. Charming and helpful hosts (Cathy and Rich). Great base for visiting the lovely Peak District villages, Chatsworth etc. Walking distance to Heights of Abraham cable cars. Pleasant walk to Matlock.

Nothing. The owners made no secret of the steep walk up to the house and the tight turnaround for the car, so we knew what we were booking.

A wonderful place to stay, quiet location with amazing views. The apartment was very clean and spacious with everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome immediately.
