Very nice cosy flat near the centre of Aberdeen

Nothing to dislike

The flat is comfortable, well equipped, and in elegant old part of the town centre. The common area is a little shabby. I liked having a dishwasher.

The keys were not in the keysafe when I arrived and the flat had not been cleaned, There was delay of 1 hr 45 min while keys were delivered and the flat was cleaned. The host advised me to have a refreshment nearby but this incurred expense. The host was apologetic but made no offer of compensation, there was not even a courtesy gift e.g. a bunch of flowers or a nice bottle of wine as a hospitality gesture.

The apartment is spacious, clean, quiet and well equipped. There is an offsite free parking.

The location of the Skene apartments is excellent. All but downtown and even a “local” around a corner, plus a Turkish restaurant if we turned left instead of right

Booking.com didn’t send me the Code to get into the key box in time. It was a difficult situation for the owner as she was travelling. Maggie continually requested to Booking.com to forward the Code to me. Finally, she was able to contact a man in the same building who was able to help.

Common area is a bit scruffy

It was in a perfect location. It was charming and clean. Everything we needed was provided.. There was even a welcome pack with milk, orange juice and shortbread..

Locking the door to the flat was a challenge. Once we saw the how to note in the information manual, it was easier.
