What a lovely apartment! Full of quirky/retro things, made a lovely atmosphere. Homemade bread and cakes to greet us, milk, butter and fresh eggs supplied. Super shower, nice towels, lots of reading material/games, easy to use TV.

Would prefer a double bed to twin beds, but not an issue, I knew in advance.

Kirkby Stephen is a small market town. It is a great location for visiting the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria . We had a fish tea in Coast to Coast on the Friday and a very enjoyable Indian meal in the Mango tree on the Sat. Both meals were very good and well priced. The apartment was very comfortable and the owner provided. Bread, marmalade, butter, milk, tea and coffee. It is full of antiquities which may not be everyone’s choice but we were fine with it. The apartment was spotless with very nice bedding. Entrance is from an alleyway .

"Strange."

The location is good as a base. The area has some beautiful countryside, pubs and restaurants. Local people are very friendly too.

The apartment is like an antique shop, it's like living in a house clearance.

Central location, easy access to all amenities. Helpful hosts. Essential provisions provided - tea coffee milk etc. Also homemade cake, bread and marmalade was a very welcoming additional extra. Lots of interesting and fascinating artifacts as well as traditional games.

It would have been nice to have a garden for the dog.
