"Non existent due to last minute cancellation by the owner."

I am unable to comment as we did not get into the property as our reservation was cancelled by the owner on the afternoon we were due to stay. The reason given was that damage had been caused by previous guests and that this would not be rectified in time for our stay.

We were very disappointed and annoyed when a message was sent on the afternoon of our planned visit that we were unable to stay. In the message I was told that I had to cancel the booking and click on waive charges in order to receive a refund and therefore not incur a cancellation charge. This was 2 days ago and I have not heard anything back from the owner with regards to this. I have received an email from booking.com to say that they have submitted the request to waive the cancellation fee but they have not heard anything from the owners either. On reading reviews, this is not the first time this has happened. We had to then find alternative accommodation on the day of our visit to Hull which cost us more money than our booking for this property had. We had train tickets booked for the weekend and tickets to a concert. If we had been unable to find accommodation then we would have been out of pocket for both of these. Based on our experience I would not recommend booking this property but people decide to I hope future guests have a much better experience.

SCAM!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Paid for my sons birthday weekend away (4y.o) drove 2.5 hours to get here and the host didnt send us entry code to the apartment so couldnt get in. Expedia confirmed all booking, tried to contact the host but blocking my calle. Texts delivered and left voicemails asking to call us but had no reply. Took our money and put a case with expedia and they refused to refund ao had to contact fraud department with my bank and pay for a hotel late at night instead!! Ruined the weekend DO NOT TRUST!!!! I have reported this property!!!

"They will charge you extra if they can"

Location is good. Reasonably clean and tidy. Did its job of providing accommodation. I would book again if I felt I could trust this listing (see other comments).

They tried charging me £400 "the sofa was broken by the guest". I read reviews of people having a similar experience (where they had been incorrectly charged for damage they hadn't done) but I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. We only stayed 1 night, and we were out during the day - only back at night to sleep in the upstairs bedroom. Absolutely no damage done to the property by us, so this ultimately shocked me. If you want an "early check in" (2pm) you have to pay £29, a surpsingly high fee to check in at a time that'd be considered normal anywhere else. You need to bank transfer this payment and communicate through private WhatsApp messages. Least important but just some feedback for the property - there were very few facilities (e.g., had 1 small towel each for the bathroom, no kitchen towels).

Cancelled my booking on the day saying someone had damaged the room after I had travelled 277 miles, leaving me with no option but to book a much more expensive hotel. Have not responded to my requests for a refund. I was shocked to received a message from booking. Com claiming I had damaged the room that I wasn't able to stay in. Upon checking the detail they claim I lost the key and want £450 from me. Complete con company.

"Bad"

At firstvi thought it was good value for money.

After the 2 days i booked i booked a 3rd night but was upset by the housekeeper who said they had booked someone else in and gave impression id have to pack and leave. Also the landlord falsely accused me of breakingva chair, then changed his mind ! and saud it was a bed frame and tried to chargecme for it. Abyssmal...maybe someone broke in.

There was nothing I like firstly I booked a apartment with a kitchen, then when I get there they tell me the apartment is damaged then put me in a tiny little room no TV nothing. Then to top it off a week later they try and charge me £500 for a damaged chair the room was that small there wasn't even a chair in there apart from that little deck chair try to contact them and they don't answer disgusting services absolute scam

Great location, bright well lit flat. Plenty of other options in Hull, though.

FILTHY, fine layer of grease and dust on everything with a sprinkling of random stickers, stains and the odd fingernail clipping, which was surprising as I’d paid an extra £29 for a 3 hour earlier check in, direct to their bank account. Wardrobe door hanging off, no bedding provided for sofa bed apart from a dirty duvet and a frankly crusty blanket on the bed. AWFUL mattress, every spring felt like concrete porridge, sheets covered in hair and sock fluff. Two threadbare, stained towels. Cig burns on carpet, ripped sofa and a massive crunchy stain on the rug. No cleaning products, toiletries, bathrobe, dining area, iron (provided later), hairdryer, lampshades, lightbulbs in bathroom or bedroom. No mirror or plug in bathroom sink so shaving is impossible. They did drop off a table with 2 chairs on the 6th day, didn’t assemble them, just dumped them on the floor. Shower is stuck on max hot and leaks all over the floor because no seal strip, massive damp patch on ceiling as a result. Boiler broke and in order to “switch it off and on again” as per their instructions we had to pop off the front cabinet (it is designed for that purpose with brackets) and left it off in case we had to access which is why I think they attempted to charge me €500 for breaking a cabinet. Gas certificate is also out of date. We are here because my mum is in ICU and I did consider staying on, which they were happy to do directly for a £3 discount but in the end the cold, filth and positively horrific mattress won and I left. Plus I’ve already had carbon monoxide poisoning once and a dodgy and unserviced or legally checked boiler is not something I’m risking. Apparently it got fixed by the cleaner’s daughter, “not the British gas man”. They also said they do not read reviews which might explain the constantly poor reviews with no changes.

"Would not stay again for the price it’s at"

Couldn’t work heating property was freezing Owner was bad with communication Light didn’t work in the toilet Lift was very slow and felt very claustrophobic

The location of the accommodation was perfect for exploring the area. Everything was just a few minutes walk away. Easy check in and reasonably priced accommodation.

The property could use some filler and repainting, it was worn out. The kitchen utensils were not in good condition or clean, we were not able to cook at the property. I received an email claiming damage was sustained during my stay. No damage had occurred and I've been unable to contact the host to resolve this.
