Lovely Sunny 2 Bed Home Edinburgh Coast

Very quiet.

Kitchen was a bit basic, and the kitchen equipment.

The location is great close to tram station, good restaurants and nice and quiet.

While tidy the bathroom is ready for an upgrade and the kitchen likewise.

Comfortable flat, very near tram line and good cafe/restaurants

The property is located in a quiet area and close to the Newhaven tram stop. It has a cosy lounge with a large TV and two double bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Our host provided useful information and contact details in case they were needed.

It was a little fiddly getting the key out of the key box, and getting the outer door opened.

Great location, comfortable beds , quiet neighbours. Good eating places close by.

I have mentioned location and beds are good and that may be all many people need in a holiday let. But be aware that is all you get. I have seen comments in reviews about cleaning. Looks like it has improved but still not great. Oven needed cleaning - luckily we did not need to use it. Described as sunny flat, would have seen alot more of sun if windows had not been so incredibly dirty. Looked like they had not been cleaned in a few years. Lino in kitchen was all broken. Bits of it lifted up under my feet if i went in in bare feet. Kitchen surfaces broken and chipped. No soap in kitchen to wash your hands. Hardly any washing up liquid left. Barely enough toilet roll for the week. No cloth in kitchen to wipe surfaces (not even kitchen roll) and tap splashes easily so really need it. Washing up sponges were really old and manky. I have since seen reviews from guests saying they had to buy cleaning supplies. We left stuff we bought ( sosp, toilet rolls etc) and I suspect landloard relies on guests doing that and saves money. Mouldy marg left in fridge. Presumably left by previous guest which is fine but as it had gone mouldy why had cleaner doing change over not removed it? Flat notes said there were bags for different recycling. Did not see them anywhere. That was fine for us, we just took ours to bins in street each time we went out but notes should be accurate. Bedside lamp in 2nd bedroom did not come on. Realised it had been unplugged but socket was in the middle of wall at back of bed and bed too heavy for me to move. Would have expected that to be picked up in change over. No usable sockets within reach of bed . Most people charge phone overnight but want within in reach, not on floor on other side of the room. Most sockets in flat (apart from kitchen) right at the bottom of skirting board. Be aware that chargers with anything sticking out bottom , even cables, won't fit in them.

Area close to everything good location

Apartment floor in kitchen kept co.ing off. Bathroom had mould. Windows were very dirty . General updating is needed. Still had a great time area was amazing. Sofa beds all good. Don't know if cleaner is doing there job.

Plenty of room for 3 adults and a child, really close to Asda and bus stop into Edinburgh centre, parking right outside flat, quiet area and flat was warm and well equipped.

Flat could do with a deep clean, the front door to the tenement had a sticky lock on it took a few attempts to get in, could also do with an outside light as we arrived late and had trouble seeing the lock box without a torch.

Layout of property was good, nice sized property. With updating it could be amazing. Area very quiet

Dirty cooker, dirty fridge, dirty microwave, drawers covered in crumbs and the tray the knives sat on, no washing up liquid, batteries all dead in remotes for TV( had to buy my own). Parking was difficult in the snow as on a steep slope and front stair door lock is very difficult to open with alot of wiggling about, took a good 10 minutes to get in.
