The perfect base for exploring the area, with a friendly host on hand to provide additional information if needed. Plenty to see and do locally. A visit to St. Michael's Mount or a day trip to the Scilly Isles is highly recommended. There are also no shortage of walks nearby offering an opportunity to explore Cornwall's diverse landscape and industrial heritage.

Keys were in the door ready. Gerry welcomed us and brought me extra blanket, much needed!

Need to provide a dishcloth and tea towel please. Yellow towels very thin and small for someone my size! Enormous cobweb above single bed.

Polgoon is easy to find being signposted from the main road skirting Penzance. Instructions concerning parking, keys etc were sent in advance and perfectly organised. Milk, tea and coffee at hand on arrival which was welcome after 3 hour drive. The rooms we had (Annexe) were very nice and contained everything you could ask for. We had very good outside decking area to soak up the late afternoon sun. Kitchen well equipped with some items for preparing meals (not always standard). Dishes were even washed and returned if requested. Perfect location for touring the Lizard and Land´s End and St Ives. Only slight disadvantage was that Penzance and Newlyn have major road works on connecting road and neither town has that Cornish charm we found elsewhere. But, as noted, good location for exploring and back for self-catering in the evening.

Love the way it felt from home to home .very comfortable. The girl in the bar stayed open for us to have a drink and she was very nice and knowledgeable about the polgoon .we will stay again soon .thank you all xx

Wish there was a warm room to have a Drink as it was open but loads of tables in bar area .

Lovely quiet attached annex with private parking. Our hostess was most accommodating, supplying us with gratis eggs and milk and even doing our washing up. There is a farm shop on site and restaurant in season.

Gerry was the perfect host, so welcoming and accommodating ❤️ the property was fully equipped with everything we needed and more

Amazing hospitality, very warm welcome from Gerry Great spot; quiet and out of the way, but still only a 20-minute walk from Penzance town centre On-site bar and restaurant in the vineyard Comfortable bed and clean room and living area WiFi access and TV channels if you want to relax

No street/path lighting on-site during the night, but we just relied on our torches on the way back from an evening out in Penzance, so wasn't a huge issue
