Old Yarn Apartment - Close to city walls

Lovely apartment. Really nicely laid out. We will stay there again.

We got a little confused with the key locks opposite the red door. Realised it wasn’t them after trying them! Would be great for another seat in lounge as there were 4 of us. Sofa bed was a little small for 2 teenagers. We had to use airbed as well.

Overall it's a very nice apartment. Very nice resturants, wine bars and takeaways just around the corner. Close to the park run (Y!) by either bus or by jogging down.

A lot of stairs, be warned. Very warm weather when we were there, and there is no a/c.

Just that toilet and bathroom in different floors.

Gorgeous apartment and not a bad location.

Its advertised to sleep 4 people but it should really be for 2. The bed in the living room is a pull out couch bed and it's not much bigger than a single. It was very uncomfortable. The bed in the main room wasn't very big either. No parking facilities and the only option is £80 for an outdoor car park 100 yards away or £48 for a multi storey 25 minute walk away. For the price id stay somewhere else next time.

Location was fab, only 3 minute walk into city centre, plenty of pubs and shops close by. Apartment was clean, spacious and had everything that you could possibly need. The carpark is 200 yards up the road. Fab place to stay if you want a city break or if you are going to the horse racing

The apartment is above a fabulous bakery, so you wake up to the smell of bread and pastries and you are forced to go and get some! They are delicious, so not a dislike really!!!

The apartment was attractive and roomy and near restaurants and grocery stores. The kitchen was equipped with a large fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher and washing machine. The host let us extend our stay for 3 nights at a good price, as both my husband and I had Covid and needed to recover. They also let us check out a little late.

The toilet was on a separate floor from the shower. The description at Booking said there was a tumble dryer, but it was only a washer. It was fairly noisy due to construction and also from people talking and playing music nearby. I don't expect a lot of supplies to be provided, but I would expect really basic things like extra garbage bags, dishwasher and washer detergents, etc. Also, a few more pots and pans would have been useful.

The location was great just a short 10-15min walk into the centre. We'd been to York before and the apartment was very near to a previous stay which meant we recognised the area.

The first entry point was disappointing as previous peoples rubbish had been left there and not picked up. Plus there was a drain covered in cobwebs which we had to put a bottle of disinfectant down because of the smell. The stairs to both levels were steep but not unmanageable. The shower room was lovely but would have preferred it to include a toilet. These really are minor gripes overall as the apartment overall was lovely and would probably use again if in York.
