That it was all in a line.

The layout was really nice, the place was very comfortable and easily accessible, the rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable and all was welcoming, a partial refund would have been nice for the problem below which was spoken about

Having spoke with the owner, and explaining the issues that we encountered these were the only things letting the place down, this was not the owners fault but the fault of the cleaners not doing their job correctly,

The owner seemed willing to go the extra mile on our arrival regarding luggage concerns, for which we were very appreciative. The lift to the flat is an EXCELLENT facility, particularly for disabled folk and folk who have a hard time climbing stairs. The flat is generally well stocked, warm and the furniture is a decent quality. The washing machine is a real plus, as are the creamers etc left out for guests. There were two bottles of home-made something in the fridge, which, if the owner left them there, was a nice touch. (We weren't sure, so we let them be.) There's a bus stop a short walk from the apartment, and the sea front and pier are close and walkable, respectively. Traffic noise is not an issue, despite being on a main drag.

The view is NOT as advertised in the main -- and misleading -- official property photo. You CAN see the sea to the horizon, which is spectacular, particularly at dawn, but only if you're willing to ignore the huge ugly "historic" building that looks like an abandoned public urinal, and the heavy machinery moving sandpiles next to it. (Photo) I don't walk so well, so many of the trips I go on I spend a fair amount of the time in the property enjoying a view. This ugly, ugly "view" (and the headroom issues noted below) made my 6-day stay miserable, despite the other benefits the flat offers. I felt mislead and I was actually glad and relived to leave, which is sad, because the owner has obviously put a lot of care into enhancing the interior of the flat. ALSO, I am 6-feet tall and I literally could not stand upright in the shower because of a beam. I hit my head on that beam several times just taking a shower to the point of leaving lumps. (Photo) ALSO, the light fixtures in the living room and bedroom hang so low that anyone over 5 feet 7 inches is almost certainly going to bang their head on them at some point. (Photo) ALSO, the pillows -- even the "soft" ones -- were or became -- too hard for myself and my wife, but I suppose that's a personal preference, rather than a fault. ALSO, the main bedroom is quite small, and there is little room to get around the double bed to get into and out of bed. There were a few issues with some dirty cutlery and crockery, and a lack of clearing of rubbish from behind the main bed, but even the best-kept property is going to expect a degree of that kind of thing over time.

Beautifully furnished and such comfortable beds! It had almost everything we needed for the weekend. The location is fantastic with great view of the fort redoubt and sea and an easy walk to the pier and Eastbourne town.

If you could provide a couple of dishwasher tablets and/or washing pods that would be amazing as it’s a lot to buy a whole box for a weekend stay.

Lovely roomy flat for a family of four, tastefully decorated, nice little touches such as plenty of coffee, shower gel, shampoo, pods for the dishwasher and washing machine. Even the towels smelled lovely!

Took us a few minutes to figure out the induction hob! A quick call to the owner helped solve the problem! And we couldn't find any oven gloves, but this wasn't a big issue.

Clean, comfortable, excellent facilities and a brilliant location. Ideal with transport and if using public transport.
