George IV Residence

The hotel was great, and location was perfect for us it seemed that it was smack centre in old town side. The hotel is a decent size plenty of room for 10 people. Hotel was clean was a little basic but its what we expected it was worth the value we paid.

Can only really say the bad part was the stairs but we where all in our 30's so wasn't too bad.

The apartment is in a lively bustling street with a lovely deli right next door. Restaurants and bars are aplenty. The beds are the comfiest beds ever. The bedrooms are spacious. The apartment was very cosy. I love my warmth so that was a boost. The kitchen was fully equipped and lovely and clean. You can see Edinburgh Castle from the apartment.

The stairs are a killer! The showers aren’t very powerful. There was an issue with the water but as soon as the host was contacted it was quickly rectified. David immediately advised that we would be compensated for it which we have been. All in all this hasn’t put me off staying there again as the positives outweigh the few negatives.

Location was fantastic. Practically on the royal mile. The host was great to respond to any questions, and was very accomodating. Beds were very comfortable

The apartment is well appointed, phenomenal location, large enough for a family, and comfortable.

Unfortunately, no lift and there are several flights of stairs which is important to know if you have elderly travelers. The apartment could use some TLC - a good cleaning and painting.

The apartment was not very clean there had obviously water damage from upstairs into the bedroom which housed the central heating boiler,the taps in the main bathroom were filthy as was the fridge,David did advise my husband that he would refund some money back but as yet we have had no contact. excellent location though.
