Abbey Garden at the Highland Club

Loch Ness is a marvelous location and the Highlands Club used to be really good, however maintenance and administration are horrible at the moment and are running the place to the ground. Will find someplace else for my next stay.

I asked for an early check in because 16:00 for check in is too late but was denied even the place being completely empty of guests. I was received by some older guy who was complaining that he was late to be home at 16:30 because of us… The pool was completely cold and after a complaint with the staff was told that it was supposed to be that way. The back gate at the garden was completely broken and the garden filthy. On the day we were supposed to check out the staff knocked at our door at 10:00am rushing us to leave even though the complex was completely empty… A disappointing experience!

Very good quality accommodation also very warm and cosy they don’t seem to scrimp on the heating

Stunning location and grounds with beautiful views up Loch Ness.

Location and complex great. Meet and greet on arrival was also great. Apartment very close to the swimming pool, steam room, and sauna, and with access from the garden of the flat to our car parked only 20 yards away. Very very close to the Boathouse Restaurant, Loch Ness, and town centre.

The apartment had a musty smell in some of the rooms. Whilst the cleanliness was very good overall, there were some cobwebs on the rail above the curtains in the lounge and around some of the lights. Also ventilation coverings need cleaning. The shower temperature in the bathroom was difficult to stabilise when the one in the en-suite was being used. Not a problem normally but there was no temperature limiter resulting in extremely hot water at times. This should be checked out !

Lack of places to eat.

Location in Fort Augustus excellent. Amazing surroundings, beautiful Loch Ness on the doorstep, plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Apartment well appointed in a unique place.

Apartment lacking a little TLC and smelled foisty on arrival ... A few diffusers sorted the main issue and hopefully a lick of paint over the winter will follow!
