Lovat Loch Ness Apartment with private roof terrace

We had a lovely apartment with a balcony,the main building t is beautiful and very close to the village centre and canal and loch .

Nothing it was all we hoped for

Functionnal and well equiped apartment, in beautiful building and location. The really good point is definitly the building, old abbey with services like swimming pool and steamer room, large parc and access to the shores of loch ness directly from property.

Several things that could be better - the person who did the check in was obviously in a hurry to do this as fast as possible. Not very agreable even though most informations are in the booklet in the apartment - give to guests the QR code for booking the swimming pool in advance. Otherwise guests can only book when they arrive and get the info from booklet, which can be too short if staying for one night - having extra towels available to go to the swimming pool - quite dark apartment, not much natural light, specially in the living room - difficulties to get real hot water in the bathtub, reduce flow and you will finally get hot water. At maximum flow water is just mild temperature. - the boiler goes in " fault" regularly when using hot water from bathtub or shower, you can restart with button under the grey panel (this has been reported) - for the 2 last comments regarding hot water it would nice to have the information in advance and not having to figure it out on ones own when facing the issue To sum up, the building is amazing but if coming back I may look for a different apartment

Beautiful and very close to good cafes, restaurants walks and the Caledonia canal Well furnished and very comfortable property to stay in, with access to a pool and games areas/tennis court.

It’s on the second floor with 3 flights of stairs to climb, no lift so just be warned if you have heavy luggage or struggle mobility-wise. The hot water system kept ‘faulting’ which we had to constantly reset (easy enough as we had the boiler instructions) but had to leave a message for the management so that they will be aware for future bookings. The heating was VERY hot as we arrived - so it may have been linked to that.
