Horseshoe Apartments

Apartment access instructions were very clear and easy access in. Apartment was quite roomy and pretty much every facility needed for a family's comfort was provided. Kudos to the managers of the apartment.

Refrigerator and kettle were not very clean. But nothing that couldn't be managed.

The fridge freezer which was damaged. (No cooler box for salads etc and all the doors on the freezer had been removed). The cooker where one of the rings had failed. The bath taps of which the hot water didn’t pour out water and of the cold was damaged. (These were replaced while we were there). A smoke filled apartment with lots of chemical plug in air-fresheners. The peeling paint coming off the bathroom ceiling. The stickiness one came into contact with when switching on sockets in the kitchen and on the kitchen floor. The vehicle fumes coming into the living room and kitchen area from the busy main road outside. The main bedroom window lock and handle which has failed. A health and safety aspect where the carpet floor joiner is missing between the hall and the bathroom entrance. The fact that the bottom of the bath kept falling off. One bedroom light only provided next to the beds. Damage to the cabinet next to the cooker hob. Living room light not working. TV in bedroom didn’t have a good picture. Silver fish in the bathroom. When asked about an inventory for the apartment I received no reply. I have taken photographs to back up the above.

Great location for Southsea, Old Portsmouth and the Naval Museums, all about 15 minute walk.

Great location. Parking was nearby. Apartment was very well sound proofed.

Only slight problem was that the main door to the apartments was broken so unable to lock. Although this was being fixed. Everything else was good.

There were some issues with cleanliness. Staff responded to our feedback, but little progress was made while we were there.

The location was really good and the permit for the parking is really appreciated (and needed).

The main door downstairs would not lock as there was a nail stuck to keep it open, it didn't feel really save.

The apartment was in a very good location within walking distance of the places we wanted to visit. The beds were clean and comfy. The lounge area gave us somewhere to relax better than being squished in a hotel room. There were lots of good restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

The bathroom was rather 'grotty' and the shower was not very good. Large bath towels were provided but no hand towels. The building had a feel of 'student accommodation' about it rather than a holiday let. The decor was very grey and lacking any flare or personal touches.
