Garden Apartment - 11 Southcot Place

Lovely apartment, good location, short walk to town.

location is superb , quiet enough but 5 mins walk from town centre. Clean and well finished property. Attentive host.

few furnishing issues like drawer fell off and handle fell off which I have raised to management.

Lovely to have the chance to stay in a character home. Couldn't have asked for a better location, coming to and from London was super easy with just a 4 min walk from the train station to the apartment.

The shower over the bath was slippery, even with the shower mat. The booking management felt a little micromanaged with multiple emails during our stay reminding us of things we had already read in the guest manual.

Fantastic location within a very short walk of the station and main shopping / eating area of central Bath. The apartment was spacious with nice furnishings and decor. A lovely outside seating area.

It is rare to go to holiday lettings and not find at least a welcoming pint of milk in the fridge so that, after a long journey you can have a cup of tea without having to search out the nearest shop first. Disappointed at the lack of welcoming touches such as this - particularly as this is certainly not a budget rental. We were also irritated by the punitive tone of the 'code of conduct' emails before and during the stay, which put us on edge. Understandably there needs to be guest guidelines but listing the 'fines' for staining pillow cases, towels, bedding etc was, we felt, unnecessary. A business covers its wear and tear costs through its letting charges and cannot reasonably hold its clients accountable for every element of this. The threat of charging us £50 to 'sort' any erroneously mixed recycling and household garbage was the straw on the camel's back I'm afraid. A revision in their policy in terms of culpability - and how to address this with their clients - would not go amiss.
