Ardbeg 4 - Farm Stay with Sea Views across to Northern Ireland

Location was fantastic.

Bed was very small. French doors were very hard to close due to alignment being out.

quiet, peaceful place, owners helpful in everything, clean and well-equipped kitchen, the perfect place to relax.

Booking a "mobile home" in high season with a poor weather forecast could have been disappointing. The location and the facilities offered were excellent. The lodge was warm clean and comfortable. This part of Scotland is spectacular without the need for an eight hour drive. We explored the local area: Port Logan (Fish pond and Botanic Gardens), Wigtown, Newton Stewart and Culzean Castle (worth the drive!). Good food available at Portpatrick and throughout the peninsula. Supermarkets, Morrisons and Lidl at Stranraer are in easy reach.

Sharp bread knife needed. Kitchen sink waste pipe leaked. Heater in lounge area buttons not working. Overall a bit small - Okay for one couple but a small family or two couples would be cramped.
