The Studio Cheddar - With Wood Fired Hot Tub, Near Cheddar Gorge

It was a lovely, modern, well equipped studio with many little extra thoughtful touches. The prosecco, pastries etc were very welcome. The shower was amazing. We never actually got round to using the hot tub but the garden area was nice.

We were concerned about privacy when we first arrived as we had thought it was more out of the way, but was actually in a cul-de-sac. Once in the studio it felt more private but there was some noise from neighbours. It was lovely and clean apart from the oven which had a dirty tray in it. Also could do with a small shelf in bathroom for wash bags etc. On the first evening we struggled to get the TV to work so we contacted the owners who told us there is no terrestrial TV there. There was Netfliks or Amazon Prime. While this wasn't too much of a problem we think it should be pointed out in the property details. While these things wouldn't put us off staying again for a short break I think a week there would start to feel quite claustrophobic , especially if there were more than two of you staying.

The studio was so nice and cosy, very clean and many thoughtful touches such as charging cables by the bedside. It was in a quiet neighbourhood, and feels quite secluded despite being in the owners back garden. Hot tub was nice. The owner was so kind and offered to change our booking by a day when we missed the first night due to our car breaking down on route! I would never have expected that.

Nothing really, if i was going to nitpick maybe some cooking oil would have been great. There was however lots of other condiments including butter so used that.

The Studio is very comfortable and very well fitted out with everything you could need, absolutely spotless, with excellent hosts, can’t recommend it highly enough.

It’s located in a great location for the local attractions, not completely out of the way and despite first impressions it is pretty well secluded. Great standard of decor. All the basics and important bits were on the property including a makeup remover flannel (I’ve been told this is important 😉) nice welcome gifts including a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. The hot tub is a must have and I will 100% only be booking places that have one going forward. The bbq area was a nice to have as well. The furnishings are comfortable and clean.

I dont know if it’s normal in the area but it did seem like we had visited during Halloween given the amount of cobwebs but certainly not a major issue really. Would have been nice to have a small shelf or similar on the wall by the hot tub for placing phones when not bashing away on social media which is the norm these days. Maybe some way to address the way to remove the hot tub cover, as it may be difficult for less able (or as I’ve just been told to write tiny people) to remove safely.

Hot tub was amazing the place is so very cute and lovely welcome package of milk juices and prosecco as well as everything you need for cooking and lovely little sun trap where the hot tub is

Coffee machine was hard to do and took long to make but then we was probably doing it wrong 😅. And no dishwasher tablets

Loved the hot tub. The Studio was immaculate & had everything you required for a short stay. Loved the little extras that we were not expecting on arrival. The hosts were extremely helpful. Everything was perfect for a relaxing few days.

There was no negatives regarding our stay.

An out of the way location that suited our needs for the weekend. It was extremely cosy on the inside (the main bed was dream to sleep on!), the hot tub was a dream to use. He kindly got the fire going before our arrival so it meant it was ready to go! The treats inside was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome.

Perfect location, clean luxury studio. Hot tub was bonus and we enjoyed it. Owners did heated up on day of arrival to get spare us some time. Amazing touches, such as croissants, prosecco and juice on arrival. Great communication. Quiet and relaxing weekend away.
