I liked that we could stay as a family in a house with different bedrooms and areas to sit when the children were in bed, instead of all being in one hotel room. The accommodation was so close to the centre of town so we could walk everywhere. Lots of great food places right at our doorstep. Loved the walk in shower in the basement.

There was nothing that I didn’t like about the property. If I was being exceptionally picky then I would say that the bathroom needed updated and it would have been nice if the sauna in the basement worked, as that was a very cool surprise. Also some bin bags for the bins would have been great.

The location was perfect, Clifton is a gorgeous area. The rooms were well sized, the shower in the main bathroom was incredible and a lovely big lounge to relax in. The outside courtyard was a nice surprise to sit in.

No major down points, but would have loved a dining room table big enough to fit the 6 of us round.

Lovely location, lovely historic spacious property, efficient heating.

Smell of damp, old, torn, tatty cushions in lounge, very smelly wardrobe and drawers in main bedroom, had to keep clothes in suitcase. Very old tired tatty and lime scaled bathroom. Large courtyard was a mess, with piles of junk, broken pots and weeds. Newish fitted kitchen but not clean, crumbs still on the work top. Kitchen poorly fitted/ unfinished, all the protective film left on the cupboards, the film was dirty and greasy and not cleanable. I found it quite insulting that the owner feels the need to leave this unhygienic film on to protect his kitchen from his guests. Had to buy cleaning spray and left the property cleaner than when we arrived. Unable to use the en-suite in the basement bedroom as the plughole was completed blocked with hair and soap scum so had to share the other bathroom. Would have moved to the upstairs bedroom instead but it was strangely very cold considering how well the heating worked everywhere else.

Location was great with plenty of shops and restaurants near by. Property was a good size with plenty of room. Good that parking was included.

No proper bin in kitchen. Could have done with a few cleaning products in the kitchen including a tea towel. The bathroom had no slip mat for the shower and no hand towel was provided. Really needed a handrail going down to basement. Basement room smelled quite musty and the toilet had nowhere to put toilet paper. No bin or wardrobe in basement room. In room upstairs the curtains were hanging off the window and the bed broke on the first night.
