MyCityHaven South Parade Mansions

Location was great, near shops, bars, restaurants, yrain station and buses. Bedding and towels good and clean.

Basement bedroom bit grim, whilst clean, it did smell musty. Kitchen poorly equipped, no dishcloth, kitchen roll etc. Supposed to cater for up to 8, cutlery etc just about okay for 3 of us.

I think that the only positive thing to say about the property was the location. Very handily located close to White Ladies Road but still relatively quiet.

The cleanliness of the property (particularly the kitchen) was appalling with even basic cleaning items such as washing up liquid missing. There were unwashed baking trays left in the oven covered in think grease and leftover food. The cutlery in the kitchen drawers was filthy dirty like it hadn't even been washed before putting away. Plates and dishes in the cupboards were similarly filthy. In order to even use the kitchen, we had no choice but to go out and by cleaning materials, soap, cloths, etc. We did complain to the agent renting out the property but all they came back with was an offer to drop around some washing up liquid and some new oven trays. The state of the kitchen wasn't down to a bad job being done the last time it was cleaned. The kitchen looked like it hadn't had a good clean in months. The advertised washing machine was completely full of mould. Another problem to grumble about was the shower in the main bathroom. The hot water stayed warm for about 15 seconds before going freezing cold. Having a shower was a very annoying and cold process of repeatedly turning the shower on and off and trying to get clean in the short time it was warm enough. The downstairs (basement) bedroom is literally like a cave. It has no windows or ventilation and smells extremely strongly of mould and damp. Luckily my trip was with a group of robust friends. If I had taken my family here, we would have left and found a hotel to stay in. The agent has offered to refund the cleaning fee for our stay which feels like small recompense for the condition of the property. I have yet to receive that refund.

The apartment was spacious, well priced and in the perfect location. I would definitely recommend it and would come again.

The smell of damp in the lounge, the basement bedroom was very damp and musty, the shower was broken, the bedroom window pane upstairs was cracked and the curtains hanging off. The main bathroom wasn't clean and the outside area full of weeds. Overall this is an amazing building and with a little TLC could be incredible. Unfortunately not worth the money. We had a nice time in Bristol though

Cellar bedroom was very cool, perfect during the hot weather! Amazing location, great stay.

The shower!!!! Worst shower I have ever had too hard to regulate.. Lack of essentials..
