I was quite disappointed with the overall condition of this property, as it did not meet basic cleanliness and maintenance expectations. In the living room, the heater was hanging off the wall, which felt both unsafe and poorly maintained. The sofas were not clean and had crumbs all over them and down the sides, making the space feel unhygienic. The TV in the living room also had ongoing issues staying connected to the internet, which was frustrating when trying to relax. The bedrooms were not properly prepared—beds were not made correctly, and the rooms themselves had not been hoovered, leaving dust and dirt behind. The kitchen was also below standard, with dirty pots and pans left for use, which is unacceptable. There wasn’t even a basic item like scissors available. Additionally, the bin was broken, adding to the sense of neglect. The bathroom was another letdown, as the shower was visibly dirty and there was an unpleasant smell of strong urine coming from the bathroom. Overall, the property lacked proper cleaning, upkeep, and attention to detail, which significantly impacted the experience.

Quirky Different Brought a smile to my family’s face

The Location was great. It was close to everything that we wanted to do.

We had NO HOT WATER our entire stay!!! We raised this issue with staff and we were just told we had to wait for the boiler to fill back up, no one had even used any hot water!! We had waited over 24hrs and still NO HOT WATER!!!!! Our apartment was also dirty when we arrived. We had food crumbs all over the floor and stains on the pillow covers. We requested a refund however was told that we would not get one and that we “apparently” wasted the apartment and booking.coms time, an absolute joke. It also took 2 weeks for me to receive my security deposit back because they said my bank details didn’t match but no one let us know! Gave them the SAME details after talking to booking.com and it was back right in my bank so in other words they didn’t want to give me it back!

The location was great for easy access to the pleasure beach, beach and other attractions. The apartment is really spacious and quirky which we all liked.

1. Parking. I paid for parking and was told to park at the back of the property. When I arrived, the car park was full but it appeared that the parking out the front was free (no road markings or visible signs) so I parked there, thinking the car park was a scam! The night before we left I messaged the property just to let them know and asking for a parking refund. It was at that point that they told me that the front was permit parking only and that tourists always get tickets as they miss the signs!! The only signs are at the start of the street and I missed them as I was looking for the property at the time! They also said that if the car park was full I could park at the building next door. None of this information was provided up front though and I did of course get a ticket which I had to pay for (£35 for within 14 days|) on top of the parking (£20 for 2 nights stay). I think the property could have provided all of these details up front. Additionally, I agree with others on here, the alley at the back is full of rubbish and broken furniture - not a nice place to leave your car. 2. Cleanliness. The place definitely could have been cleaner. We had to wash all dishes and utensils before use and when we set up the sofa beds, there were a lot of crumbs. 3. Hot water. Despite having instructions, only 1 person can have a shower and then you would have to wait for at least 30 mins before the next person can have a shower. I didn't get a shower whilst there as we didn't have time to wait around for hours! 4. Safety. The main door didn't seem to be fully closed and looked like it could easily be kicked in which didn't feel particularly safe. It's not the nicest of areas either!

Hot water takes half an hour to replenish after filling the bathtub.

It could have been better,

The stay was overall average, but there were several issues that need improvement. Firstly, the hot water was not adequate. All six of us, including children, had cold showers. We were advised to wait around 40 minutes for the water to heat up, but even after doing so, the water was still not hot enough. This was very inconvenient, especially as the children were not feeling well afterwards. Secondly, the cleanliness of the bedding was a concern. When we prepared to go to sleep and pulled back the covers, we found visible stains on the bedsheets, which clearly had not been properly changed or cleaned. This is a basic standard that should not be missed. In terms of general cleanliness, while the hallway floors appeared well-maintained, the same level of attention did not seem to be given to the bedrooms and bathrooms. That said, I do appreciate that the staff allowed us a late checkout until 12pm free of charge due to the children not feeling well, and housekeeping did come in the morning to change the bedding. Overall, the stay could have been much better with proper attention to cleanliness and essential facilities like hot water. I hope the hotel takes this feedback on board and improves these areas for future guests.
