The location was perfect for where we wanted to explore , only a couple of hours and you’re at Glencoe! The property was comfy and clean with a sturdy gate to ensure toddler and dog couldn’t escape . Heating was good , using the stove was easy and effective. Kitchen had everything you needed, Sitting having a croissant and coffee by the rapid burn in the morning was very special indeed great atmosphere down there. My cockapoo was made to feel welcome too. Recommend the local Chinese takeaway!

I liked everything about Herons Rest, especially the log burner. It's the sort of place I would love to spend Xmas at. Best place we stayed during our 14-day driving tour of the Lake District and Scotland.

The TV took a bit of working out as I'm not familiar with Sky remote control, but I'm sure the hosts would of helped if I had called them.

great little property in a good location

Very friendly owners.. We really liked & enjoyed Herons Rest Comfortable & cosy.. Quiet in well kept lovely surroundings.. Would definitely go back again.. Basic items for use including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash, hair dryer.. In Kitchen Tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper.. All a bonus incase you have forgotten any of them....

Not a didn't like.. More an observation.. Other places we have stayed have left a welcome gift which is a nice touch.. Eg.. Milk & Bread, Wine & Cookies which is helpfully if anyone arrives later on at night.. For us there wasn't anything we could say we didn't like...

Lovely location, great little place and reasonably priced.

The bed was very firm.

Loved it, fantastic accomodation, very cosy with wood burner on. Lovely river a short stroll from the cottage with seating to sit and relax. A great location for exploring further afield💗
