The location was great and and very safe

Easy to find, plenty of space to park the car, well lit access down the side of the main house and a great location for evening trip into Birkdale and morning walk in the dunes. Our stay was brief but we found the bed to be comfy.

Place was very warm on arrival - room thermostat had been set to maximum which seemed unnecessary but we managed to get to a more comfortable temperature by bedtime. Breakfast bar is quite snug for 2 people to sit at. Bathroom fan is set to stay on for ages and is noisy, bathroom basin is in a dark corner with no light above. Disappointing that several earlier reviewers have mentioned problems with the shower - coming away from the wall and switch between the 2 heads not working - but nothing has been done about these.

Great location, and great value for money

Great location near the beach, close enough to town to walk but felt nice and peaceful being out of the main centre. Very good accommodation, everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Can imagine it's even better in the summer as a lovely outside area is also available, hopefully we'll be back then!

The property is very well appointed with a good attention to detail. It was clean, the bedding was fresh and well laundered and the instructions for entering the property were clear. Being able to come and go as we pleased during our stay was great, and the proximity to the station suited our needs perfectly.

Nothing really. The only thing I couldn't find was a corkskrew/bottle opener, but from previous experience, I always bring my own just in case. The property was excellent and we had no complaints whatsoever
