Immaculately clean and presented. Best place we have stayed.

Very comfortable and cosy, clean and well equipped. Good location for walking into Penrith and also for touring the Lakes. We stayed 2 nights on our way up to the Scottish Highlands but wished we'd stayed longer!

Would have liked a casserole/baking dish in the kitchen. The steps up to the property could be an issue for anyone less mobile.

Superb quality apartment, fitted out with modern and high-spec appliances and furnishings. Spacious and well-organised. Communication was excellent with photos showing where to park etc. Plenty of hot water, good heating, excellent shower and wifi, comfortable bed. Parking is more than adequate. There is a microwave (not mentioned in the Booking.com details), in one of the cupboards. Very handy washing machine.

One or two very minor things could be marginally better - a toilet roll holder? (Though it might spoil the beautiful lines of the lovely bathroom!). There is a loose handle on the 'bin' cupboard door which caught me out. Perhaps a larger drying rack (there are a only couple of rails on one of the radiators) to go with the washing machine? (Maybe there is one somewhere and I didn't find it.) The immediate surroundings are not inspiring (although it's handy for petrol!) but you're within walking distance of the centre of a popular resort town near the Lake District, so that's perfect really.

Location excellent - so quiet an area yet very quick walk into the town centre. The kitchen was a delight. The bedroom excellent and the bathroom fantastic. The central heating worked well and quickly (except in the front TV area where it was longer to get warm for some reason)

The steps up to the front door very steep - fine and understand that - but were icy a few times whilst we were there and the handle was far too low a height to make us feel very safe when walking up and down. Esp with the steps being very small in depth. The boiler was very effective and clearly very new - but was a bit too noisy for me (not the others who slept like angels!) in the middle of the night when it kicked in every now and then - It was VERY cold when we were there so it was doing its job!!
