Fern Lodge

Everything, lovely large cabin , spotlessly clean and everything supplied you would need for a short break. Location was perfect for us ,very remote and very quiet with the added bones of a wee shop and pub 2 mins walk away.lots of walking trails to explore and of course the beautiful loch Hot tub was great , takes a while to get it up to heat on arrival and stays hot for hours , after that takes just over an hour to heat again , soo relaxing We enjoyed the stay so much we never went a drive anywhere else the whole time We do a lot of short log cabin breaks and this one is up there with the best

We loved how quiet the location was and being surrounded by trees. We had a Buzzard that would land in the tree righ outside our decking. We loved the cabin very cosy.

We loved everything about our stay.

Could be lovely but lodge needs a bit of tlc. Social club was good fun.. Friendly staff in club bar and village shop. The wood burning system for the jacuzzi was amazingly effective.

Part of path to front door was very slippy on arrival as a result of wet green moss. Not so bad on a dry day but not clever in the wet. Internal doors of sawn timber had been surface painted some time ago which is worn and looks dirty. Not a big job to repaint and surprised owners have not attended to them. The rubbish receptacles were dirty round their rims and the drain rack for plates also had traces of old food as a result of poor cleaning. Against that the cutlery and pots had been well cleaned.

Loved the layout of the cabin. It was cozy and the hot tub was amazing. Great privacy! Would defenetly book again! Kids loved it too!

Fantastic surroundings, well equipped, homely, an all round amazing place to stay.

Could have been cleaned better before our arrival, mess under dining table, dust and cobwebs on most window frames.
