The Lambing Shed at Walkmill Farm

Lovely countryside setting in a farm courtyard. Potted plants outside the cottages. Two beautiful horses, one a Cart Horse, the other a Shetland Pony in the field behind us, very friendly. Nice to meet Belinda.

The weather, alas, something we have no control over.

Great area and a very short walk to Bushmills. Royal Portrush was 5 miles away and Portstewart 8. Loved the accommodation and would come back again

Beautifully decorated cosy cottage with everything we could need. A very comfy bed so a great nights sleep, very clean and very pleasant host. Also a short walk from the village and also local walks

A really fabulous little holiday cottage. Spotlessly clean, loads of little extras, everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay.

Nothing, although the weather was a bit rubbish!

Beautifully furnished, comfortable - and warm! The wood burner was a blessing. Bathroom spacious and delightful. Appreciated fresh eggs and milk waiting for us on arrival.

Very little. Knives could do with sharpening but if that’s the worse we can find wrong then The Lambing Shed must be pretty good 😊

Attention to detail. Fresh roses in the living room, fresh tulips in the bedroom. Eggs and milk ready for us to use, upon arrival. Wood burning stove had been set and added a welcome cheeriness to the room, when lit.

Only one small observation and a little bit of advice to future guests. Be careful opening the door of the wood burning stove, once it has been lit. This metal handle becomes incredibly hot, as the fire burns. Perhaps a prominent notice, warning guests to make use of the oven glove, thoughtfully provided in the log basket, would prevent burnt fingers. Undoubtedly our own stupidity, but a warning notice should prevent others from making the same mistake.
