Found it tricky to use the key to lock/unlock the studio (maybe it was me and not the key) Blanket on armchair smelled of dog, it seemed (which is fine if you're the dog, it was just unexpected)

Can’t fault the place, if anything some steps are steep but we managed.

Quirky nature of decor, good kitchen facilities, milk and Welsh Cakes provided. USB points in all sockets.

Not easy access for anyone with a disability. Too many trip hazards, uneven surface on steps - would recommend replacing gravel with a solid surface. Perhaps some levelling compound on floor and ceramic tile it. Kept headbutting the dangly light bulb above the bed.

The close location to the International Eisteddfod. Shower facility was good. Nice touch leaving guests welshcakes.

No oven. and could not get the hob to work in kitchen. Microwave very low down General decor was basic and rustic, eccentric and not to our liking. Television was difficult to operate on usual channels except for Netflix. Bedroom gloomy, in a cellar. Just as well we were there everyday for week for Llangollen International Eisteddfod and spent little time there. Unfortunately, I could not recommend Fern Mount to anyone at least for long stay. We left a day early. All I can say is that it might suit persons with 1-2 day stop over for the price of stay. Maybe because my wife. and I are both in our 70's and want something more appealing and conventional.

It is a very compact property with everything I needed for a short stay. It is very well decorated with good quality accessories. I slept very well. I didn’t meet the hosts but there were good instructions for everything and I knew I could contact them if required. I arrived by public transport and the property is very close to bus stops and all local shops, restaurants and points of interest.

Because it’s underground, it is quite cold. I didn’t try out the heating, but there were plenty of blankets and I had a good jumper.
