Cosy Victorian Apartment - Central York

The place is clean and well equipped!

The bathroom sink doesn’t have a mixer.. not bad but im not used to it.

Location was excellent. The apartment was as described and had good facilities. Dave as a host was incredibly helpful and we were able to arrive slightly earlier to park and go and spend our day in York. We had a lovely weekend, and with a 3 year old spent more time in the apartment than others might, and he definitely approved thinking it was our "new home".

The only issue we had was noise coming from the flat upstairs and cars parking right outside the bedroom windows late at night. Neighbours came back from a night out around 1am and as a very light sleeper it kept me up. However, nothing that can be done about it, and I actually found some disposable ear plugs provided by Dave on our last day which I hadn't realised were there!

The apartment is very central, cosy and clean. We found domino to play with which was just what we needed to end the day! We asked to leave the car parked after the check out and the host accomodated our request. I would definitely recommend it!

The house was spotless and very cozy. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The host was very kind and accommodating.

Apartment had all we needed. Tea and coffee provided. Quiet and interesting local area. Near local supermarkets.

No real problems.

Great little property in a brilliant location, close to the centre of York. Easy access to the property and the hosts helpfully allowed us in to the property earlier than the advertised check in time as we’d arrived earlier than expected. Parking for one (very) short car in an off-street space, but an additional parking permit provided in the property allowed us to park in the street right outside for the duration of our stay. Good layout. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable double sofa bed in living room that our teenage son slept well in.

Issue with washer-dryer (not sure I’ve ever used one that actually worked, to be fair), which I reported to the host. He’s had issues with it in the past and intends to replace with a washing machine only, which would be far preferable, just used with a clothes airer to dry your clothes.

For me the bed was too soft but that is just personal preference. Could not fault anything
