We stayed in the Stables cottage at Blessingbourne Estate for a weekend escape and honestly, it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the sense of arrival somewhere truly special was immediate. And that welcome begins with the owners. Warm, genuine and wonderfully knowledgeable about the estate and the surrounding area, they made us feel like guests in someone's home rather than customers in a rental. Nothing was too much trouble, and their generosity extended to letting us check out late — a small thing that made the end of the trip feel as relaxed as the rest of it. The cottage itself is beautifully done. There's a warmth and character to the interiors that you just can't manufacture — thoughtful touches everywhere, incredibly comfortable, and that lovely feeling of a space that has been genuinely cared for. The grounds are simply stunning. We spent time just wandering and taking it all in — the lake, the trees, the quiet. We came for a weekend break and left feeling genuinely restored. This is the kind of place you'll be recommending to everyone while secretly hoping they don't book it before you get back. We will absolutely be returning.

The beautiful grounds, the very welcoming staff, the facilities and welcome pack in the apartment were first class and we could bring the dog. I will definitely return. Thanks Coleen and Nick!

clean comfortable home from home feel to the apartments. Beautiful setting with various woodland walks, wildlife and animals. Pet friendly which was why I picked here in the first place. The hosts - I mean you genuinely couldn't get a friendlier, wonderful couple.

My daughter and I booked the Stables apartment on the day of our stay as we wanted to extend our trip to the area. After booking online Colleen rang me to explain the directions and how to access the apartment and met us on our arrival. She even went to the bother of providing fresh milk. She was very welcoming and spoke to my daughter about the horses and dogs which made us feel at home.
