Host & Stay - Amber Shores

Great location, easy access with keys in key box. Nice touch to find tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided to give you a start on arrival. In fact all essentials were covered that you normally have to buy such as wash liquid, cloths and tea towel in the kitchen and loo rolls and wash products in the bathroom. Impressed with how well kitchen stocked with crockery, glasses, knives etc although used very little since flat is in such close proximity to town and beach and choice of cafes and restaurants. Also handy to have own allocated private parking space so not reliant on on-street parking although there was always spaces available. Bed very comfortable. Sofa large and inviting (different to the one in the photo)

Shower doors not operating properly, come off runners and mould around runners ( but shower works fine), shame really since this let down a flat which was otherwise great

Great location only meters from the sea front. Spacious apartment with parking. Clean well equipped apartment.

The sofa was extremely uncomfortable. The shower door kept coming off the runner. No bottle opener in kitchen.

Great location.

Awful rundown block of flats. Constant smell of cannabis. Scrap and rubbish in the yard. On leaving another tenant was having an heated argument in the communal door area really embarrassing. Didn’t feel safe in the flats.

Great location, between town centre and seafront. Generally well equipped and clean other than the minor issues listed.

The living room sofa was tired and very uncomfortable. Some of the crockery in the kitchen wasn't clean. We had to clean some of the mugs before they could be used.

We like location, great good sized apartment

Thin pillows on bed, even to tin for me and I don't like thick pillows like my husband. Sofa, wasn't sofa on read through email picture we got, after 20 mins very uncomfortable, even when I kept fluffy up turning then over, that was all the sofa especially bottom cushions you sat on xx

Car parking spot, location

Seating was poor. Settee in lounge very uncomfortable. Seats in kitchen uncomfortable. TV difficult to use. No guides/notes in flat on places to go/maps etc. Wifi not working on entry. After several phone calls still not working, eventually got it going myself. There is a pub to the rear of the property which is noisy, particularly at closing time.

The apartment had everything you needed for a multi day stay. It is very close to the beach, the train station, buses and supermarket. It was quiet most of the time.

Because it was on the ground floor and the bedroom and kitchen look into the rear carpark, I didn't feel like I could leave the windows open for security reasons which made it quite stuffy at night during summer. I think property could benefit from air-conditioning in the bedroom. I also kept the blinds closed whenever I was in for privacy. There is also a pub behind the building which seems to quieten down around midnight. None of these affected my stay other than I was a little too warm at night. Pillows were a bit weird, very thin, I had to use 3 of them to get a normal pillow height. I also found the bed not so comfortable as a side sleeper.

Very clean and very spacious. Access was easy keybox with code provided in advance. The apartment had every thing for a very enjoyable stay.
