It is in a pretty area all the staff were very friendly and polite

Sometimes it's very hard to park your car when you arrive

Great location by the riverside the apartment was very comfortable, great shower, comfortable bed and lots of extras, cereals, milk and tea and coffee

Nothing. The apartment is a little dated but charming as a result.

The location and the beer. There's seating in the car park, which allowed us to watch various birds/ducks swimming/flying along the river. Monsal Trail is also just 5 minutes up a path and the views etc are stunning. 8.5 miles of stunning scenery. Hassop Railway Station is also a great place to stop for breakfast.

It was a bit like going back to the 19th Century. Hot taps from electric units that dribbled water out, and the shower was even worse. Placed a small shampoo bottle on the shelf and the shelf fell off! Food in the pub has gone downhill too. We've stayed in the Peak District many times and always eaten in the Anglers Rest. The food in the past has been excellent. This time however, the pastry on the Steak Pie wasn't cooked through, the mash was awful (luke warm and no seasoning), and as for the veg, if I closed my eyes I'd have had no idea what I was eating, very bland. I had the pork steaks the following day, and they were done to death. I wondered why I needed a steak knife, but then I found out, they were tough as old boots! And finally, the peas, they were like bullets. Very poor overall.

Great little apartment with everything you need. The location is fantastic, perfect for nearby walks. The pub was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The food and beer were both top notch. Highly recommend!
