Anglers rest

This property is literally in the perfect location. There are amazing walks right on the doorstep, you can hop straight onto the Monsal Trail and Chee Dale walks from here. It’s also in a great position to access Bakewell, Buxton, Mam Tor etc. Location is perfect. There is also a small circular walk just across the river from the pub which we did on our first night. The apartment itself is so cosy and has facilities for both winter and summer stays! The bed was super comfortable. Added bonus of staying at a wonderful pub with amazing food and friendly staff. I have seen a couple of moans on here about parking, we made sure to ask about this on arrival and I don’t see what the problem is, there is a dedicated pub carpark where we left our car for the entire weekend. I think those that had encountered issues had been parking on the road etc but there was no problems there for us. We booked a table at the beginning of the stay for the evenings we wanted to eat in the pub as it was literally rammed every night we were there! (Food and service were both lovely). We would recommend and we would love to return soon.

The only thing I would say (which wasn’t a problem for us but may be for some people with family at home etc) there was literally no signal! (We quite enjoyed this!) there is a wifi box/extender in the apartment but it doesn’t cover the whole apartment so you need to be sat in a specific area and connection was in and out. - this is the same in most of the area.

Very dog friendly, cozy and clean. Location fabulous with walks from the door. Staff friendly amd pub meals and beer excellent.

Great hosts and great location. Angler’s Rest is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and good food. Generally the apartment was basic and pretty comfortable. Cereal, coffee and teabags provided, which was appreciated

The shower is not good. It really needs updating. Weak pressure and confusing to get working and barely warm. Black mould oozing out of the dial on the shower.
