The accommodation was lovely ,the anglers rest ,lovely food and staff

A bit remote,pub always full no where to sit if u just wanted a drink

Great location on the doorstep of many beautiful walks. Clean and equipped for an enjoyable weekend away. Food in the pub was exceptional.

Area was lovely staff were lovely and pub food was good .x

Think the apartment could do with some TLC a lick of paint and Brighting up a little maybe new bedding ect maybe paint the old furniture just an idea looks a bit dated ..and steep steps to climb to Apartmentif if you have any mobility difficulties x..

The menu was a bit Brake Brothers and lacked flavour and imagination. It was the only thing missing. Doesn’t need to be gastro just needs to feel like the owners aren’t trying to save money on the things that matter most.

Wonderful country pub. Excellent food and lovely friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful part of the Peak District. The apartment was fine. Well equipped and lots of nice touches, sachets of coffee, tea, biscuits, milk. Beautifully clean. Also they did not skimp on the heating. The nights were quite chilly and it was lovely and warm to come in to.

The access to the apartment was external to the pub via a steep stone staircase with no handrail. This did give us a problem as we are both oldies. We overcame this by walking to the end of the lane and then along the road.

Cosy apartment with everything you need. Food in the pub was fantastic and the hosts were really friendly and hospitable. Will definitely stay there next time we are in the area
