Skeldergate View Apartments

Room was spacious and sequestered away enough to mitigate most of the noises from the city. The carpet had just been done, so the apartment felt fresh and new. Space to lounge with a view and a decent kitchen that was better equipped than most. Being in the city proper made getting around very easy. Only utilized shower, but the option to take a bath was nice. Included speaker was great to play music from phone while packing/cooking/relaxing, wish more properties would include some kind of stereo. Toiletries were a step up from the usual.

Couch was not the greatest - shallow seating with stiff backing, which was too bad because of the decent lounge space. The bed was also just ok, and the mattresses didn't stay together that well for whatever reason. Having a topper on hand to cover the gap and secure them further would have been good. There were intermittent vibrations, either from large vehicles or trains - they mainly kept to the living room area so it didn't effect our sleep. Bathroom was a little cramped, though probably the best the property can do without a major overhaul.

The location was great. The apartment was very clean, warm and had everything you needed. Clean bedding, soaps, shampoo, washing up liquid, teabags and coffee.

There is nothing to dislike about the property. Only downside - owner messaged with directions and offered a late check out. I replied three times asking for a later check out but received no response. I received a quick response when I emailed to say we had left slightly late. I was asked to write a review.

Our stay was very comfortable in this apartment, which was spacious and clean, and all amenities were made available. The location was perfect, close to centre, just minutes away! Would stay again!

This is a great value in an excellent location for walking York. The apartment had everything we might need, was clean, and felt very secure. Communication with the host was excellent.

There was nothing we didn't like!
