Menias Cave House

The apartment is very competitively priced. But what I liked the most is the staff. Elizabeth, who manages the property, is one of the nicest people I have met around the world. She made sure that I would have an enjoyable stay. she and her husband came to pick me up and then took me to the airport on my departure. I highly recommend using their transfer service because they are very reliable. it would be nearly impossible to find the apartment on your own. Mateo, the porter, was also extremely helpful. I shudder to think how I could have carried my luggage up and down so many steep steps. The apartment is very quiet. The AC works well and is basically noiseless. There are many excellent restaurants nearby. Elizabeth recommended a few and I tried two of them. Both were fantastic and reasonably priced.

The view was unbelievable! Opening the front door to the beautiful view of the water was incredible. There were a lot of steps to get down to the apartment (to be expected) but the property managers could not have been more helpful! They carried our bags for both arrival and departure. I can’t say enough good things about the communication and service with the property manager, Elizabeth and Mateo.

The steps were definitely difficult, especially while carrying small children, so if people have trouble with steps they should stay closer to the top/flat main path.

The location, charm and accommodations were fantastic!! We enjoyed both sunrise and sunset from our porch along with iconic views of the caldera.

Wi-Fi was weak but manageable, and there was a damp smell in the bathroom (perhaps from older plumbing?) but didn’t detract from the overall stay.

the location was amazing, as was the view. the cave house was nice and cool during the HOT days. Very clean and comfy for two couples!!
