Menias Cave House

The property was wonderful and the view was incredible. Excellent location for exploring Oia. The best part was our property manager, Elizabeth. She made everything very very easy and gave us great recommendations. Elizabeth made us reservations for a dinner with the most beautiful view we’ve seen! We are very thankful for her!!! When we return to Greece, we will absolutely stay here again.

There’s nothing we didn’t like.

The help that the host, Elizabeth, gave us by picking us up from the airport and taking us to the ferry port made the stay so much easier. The view is amazing with a great patio area. Close to restaurants and shopping. Overall, a wonderful stay.

The only thing we can say is the walk to the entrance is down a concrete path by other cave houses, and if you have mobility problems it could be an issue. This was not an issue for us, or wouldn't be for most people. Oia is not a town you want to stay in if you have mobility issues.

The location was good.

Outdoor seats were stained and wet. Ants in the kitchen area. It took a very long time to fill the tub with hot water as the hot water tank was small. It was a major hassle to fill if we wanted a warm/hot bath. We constantly had to boil water to help fill the tub.

The most memorable and wonderful things of this place are: 1. the scenery (though you cannot see the sunset here but the views are breathtaking) 2. it's quiet and comfortable at night and day, without the concerns of having too many visitors going nearby the place and making noise 3. Elizabeth is one of the most friendly people we met in Santorini. She responds to messages real quickly and is happy to entertain whatever requests we may make 4. though there are stairs between the cave house and the main street, the distance is not long so you can reach the main street in less than 3 minutes A few things to note: 1. The TV is not working 2. The house can be a bit hot in daytime but it's okay as you will probably walking along the main streets or going somewhere else at that time 3. it could be troublesome if you have more than 2 luggages. Although the nicest Elizabeth can arrange people to help carry the luggages down the cave house, it is not so possible for anyone to carry more than 2 luggages down the stairs and slopes - so be considerate and bring not more than 2 luggages

Elizabeth was fantastic and helped me check in as well as transport to and from the airport. Highly recommend, her and her husband are warm, welcoming and super friendly!

The view is nice. You can see the sunrise. The heating is adequate. The staff Elizabeth has been most helpful.
