Close to everything. Great facilities and great if you want to cook for yourselves. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved sitting on our balcony of an evening and watching the bustle of the old Town below.

Not a big issue, however staircase is narrow making carting of luggage a bit tricky. Not a big deal because you take luggage up once at start of stay and down once at end. We are in our late 50s and managed ok.

Very clean with all you need to have a nice stay. Excellent support for advices and very prompt answers to any request. Well located at the heart of Héraklion

La casa affaccia direttamente sul mercato centrale, zona molto movimentata e affollata non ci si annoia mai😁 Il proprietario è una persona veramente molto alla mano,gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Personalmente mi ha lasciato anche un pensierino il giorno prima di partire, è stato molto carino. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti🥰❤️

Great down town location.

For people with mobility problems (not my problem) there is no lift, and the entrance from the street is awkward. The apartment is on the second floor, but the high ceiling of the shop on the ground floor makes the climb a bit more.

A home away from home. Every thing you could possibly need has been provided. Very friendly host. Great location. I highly recommend this place.

This apartment is a great value for money and serves amazingly the goal to stay in Heraklion center for a day or two! + It is very conveniently situated. You can get everywhere on foot. Whether for a day stay before trip back from Crete or just to see Heraklion -- this is extremely nice location. I stayed at 5* outside of city center and still find that for location this appt is better value. + The host is very friendly and helpful, making sure you know all details how to get there. There was a generous BIG water bottle (always appreciated on arrival more than most of hosts think), coffee caps, honey some snacks and small wine. Bed and towels smelled nice fresh clean. + The apartment is pretty simple but has literally everything for a short stay. + For this location it's a great deal. Couple things to be mindful about which I read from from previous reviews, compared to my real experience: Stairs: indeed steep, but they are not high, it is not a 0+2 floor, it is literally a european +1 floor. If you are ok with 20 steps, it's not really bad. For me it was fine, I expected worse. You have to be creative with a big suitcase or restricted body movements though. Noise: not soundproof, is noisy at night till morning. That comes together with perfect central location as in many old town centers - and was expected.

- Hot water is not always on, you have to turn it and wait. It heats pretty fast, but it's an inconvenience - Toilet and shower were not really in perfect cleaned condition. That might be just my clean standards for bathrooms, all other parts of apartment were clean.
