Sofia's Little Kingdom

Smart looking apartment which was well designed, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. Kitchen area is ideal for making drinks and light meals but not really for cooking - this was fine for us. Comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom, good shower. Some traffic noise but overall quiet. Felt very safe and secure. Host gave us some useful tourist information.

The room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 3pm - the check in time. The location was down a rather nondescript street and seemed further out of town than we realised - it’s a good 20 minute walk to Lion square and 30 mins to the fort area. We should have checked the map more carefully I guess. At night there was too much light in the room to sleep comfortably for us - no blackout curtain and a very bright display on the aircon unit which couldn’t be turned off. In the end we turned the unit off so thankfully it wasn’t peak summer temperatures. Kitchen needs a chopping board and a tea towel for drying pots. The bathroom needs hand soap and a toilet brush. The toilet flush wasn’t strong enough.

The host was super nice and welcoming. The flat is located at 15 min walk from the start of the center, it is very cosy, with a nice balcony, and equipped with the necessary tools for a small kitchen. Great to have a car parking spot. We loved to stay here.

The apartment looked even better then in the photos, also very clean. Dedicated parking in the front in the shade which was amazing, balcony was very nice too. The hosts were probably the best thing about the whole experience, warmhearted and welcoming, they were always there when we needed anything, and also went out of their way to give us local reccomendations. 10/10 , best value for money.

Location is good. Very quite. 20 minutes away from the city centre by walk. Nice restaurants and cafés around.

The kitchen is not good enough to cook. There is only one electric hob. We were denied to cook fish in the apartment. The ventilation is really bad in the room. There were lots of mosquitoes
