Kaerati Apartments

We had the top apartment with sea view, which is spacious and had a big outside terrace with two shade rich zones where it’s an absolute pleasure to sit in the morning having a breakfast and in the evening enjoying a drink. The apartment was fully equipped, spotless clean and came with two separate bathrooms and a lot of storage place. Being with two small kids (2 seven year olds) everything was so convenient. We also chose to rent a car through the owner of the apartment which was a very nice Toyota Yaris against a more then reasonable price. Lastly we would like to give praise to the friendly staff which were very helpful. Especially mr. Michael being a very gracious host bringing delicious cake every morning, providing information about the Island and arranging a helpful transfer from and to the port of Katapola. Furthermore we would like to note that the provided shower products and bodylotion were of very good quality as were the towels and bathrobe’s. Katapola is an excellent base to discover this wonderful authentic Greek Island and for us Kaerati made the stay most enjoyable. We will certainly return to Amorgos.

Zero complaints! Yes the apartment is located on the highest point of the neighborhood and yes it’s a decent walk to get there… but if the view doesn’t make up for that then the cool breeze does!

We were met at the port by our wonderful host Michael who took us to the apartment is his car. Its an easy walk from the port, but with luggage, but its not an easy place to find if you have not been there before.

Michael, the host, is an extremely kind and thoughtful person. He’s happy when guest are happy.

A main benefit of property is the wonderful view. Does take some uphill steps to get there.

The location was great, right in the cove port of Amorgos high on the hill, so the view was amazing. But a walk up, so if hills and stairs are an issue, that would be a challenge. Michael the manager was lovely and accommodating, he brought us homemade cakes and replacement for coffee every morning, which was a great! He drove us to the port and back, so we didn't have to carry our luggage even the short distance for check in and out. A gracious host! The town is pretty small so everything is walking distance which nice. We rented a car for the day to drive to the monastery and visit the famous big blue beach!

I wish the beds were softer, they were hard for all of us on our backs especially after all the hiking, walking and swimming. Not realizing the steps, they do warn you, but in a foreign country, they seem to be in way better shape than us! My mother had a little tough time in the evenings after dinner climbing the stairs, so that was a little challenging. Otherwise, wish they had a pool, that would have been really cool!

The stay at Kaerati exceeded our expectations. It was a very well designed/decorated apartment, with a thoughtful and functional layout. The outdoor area was private, quiet and overlooking the water. I had enough space to do morning yoga on the patio :) bed was comfortable and we got great sleep every night. Michael was a wonderful host, made us feel very welcome and bakes some delicious cakes!

If you have mobility problems, maybe not for you as you need to climb some stairs to get to the apartment

We loved the host Michael, he came to pick us up from the ferry and the lovely cake he brought every morning! The apartment was beautiful, as was the view and the whole island.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this well-equipped apartment. A great location for exploring Amorgos. Michael was very welcoming and brought delicious cake every day. We loved the spaciousness of the apartment and terrace with comfy chairs, large dining table and an outstanding view. We were sad to leave and would definitely come back!

We didn't mind that there were lots of steps to climb, it meant the best views!

We were actually bumped to the property's sister property, the Amorgion hotel, due to circumstances which were not explained but it was an excellent stay at Amorgion. Lovely staff and very comfortable.
