Good location in Kalamaria, walking distance to shops and the seafront. Key handover via lockbox was straightforward.

The apartment is older, which is fine in itself - but it is clearly not maintained or properly cleaned. The carpets and sofa were not vacuumed before arrival - visible hair and debris embedded in the carpet. The bathroom was not clean and the fixtures have heavy limescale build-up. Similar cleanliness issues appear in earlier reviews - clearly recurring. The bedroom had a strong urine-like smell that became worse with humidity and rain, so I could not sleep in the bed and had to sleep on the sofa. There was also a persistent cigarette odour, although the apartment is listed as non-smoking. All windows were open on arrival, suggesting someone knew about the smell. The property manager was dismissive when these issues were raised. The WiFi was not working on arrival - I had to restart the router and photograph the new router for the host, who was not aware of it. I may be more sensitive to smells than average, but the cleanliness issues are visible and hygiene should be a basic standard. I checked out two nights earlier than booked, despite the non-refundable rate, because I could not stay in these conditions.
