OUTRIGGER Maldives Maafushivaru Resort

Lovely kitchen staff, liked the buffet and the lagoon. Small island.

Departure process 👎🏽After checkout time (12:00) you feel a bit kicked out. We stayed at many many resorts in Maldives so we can compare. Our seaplane arrives at 4, but you have to leave at 12 although there are rooms avaible. When we first asked, they lied and said they are fully booked but after I checked myself and showed them a screenshot , suddenly they said there are villas available but now surprise surprise they want extra charge after 12:00😅. A joke after you pay so much for the room. It’s free on other resorts since you can’t leave the island yourself. They even come before 12 to collect luggage’s which feels so rushed and gives you the feeling they want you out. Anyways I asked for a shower before leaving the island , they showed me the public pool shower which is in front of everyone 😂. Again I had to insist for at least the shower at the spa and only after complaining they arranged. Departure time: they communicated us 4PM. We were in our bathing suites laying at the public pool, ordering food when at 2:25 PM they called me saying our plane leaves at 2:40 now. Imagine the stress and rush, my suitcase still needed repacking, we left everything and were running. I could not shower anymore for my long haul flight and they didn’t give me time at least time to re organise my suitcase. So rushed AGAIN. ARRIVAL: before arrival the resort approached me by separate email that they want additional 96$. It’s not legal to change the price when your confirmation says ,,price includes all taxes and charges“. Thankfully we booked with booking , so they sorted it out for us. But NO apologies until today. Villas: NEED MAINTENANCE!! On the water villa the wood is in a very bad condition that I hurt myself and had wood splinters deep on both of my feet. The doctor helped me to remove free of charge as it can cause infection. However after the incident they did not fix it. We had to put everyday a towel to not step onto this area again.

Amazing location, service and food. Good value for money. Staff makes you feel at home.

No activities suitable to rainy weather.

The water pool villa with private pool was well worth the money and the beds are very comfortable. Moreover, the staff went above and beyond to make every wish come true.

Everything!! The resort was fabulous, the food selection was great and the staff were absolutely incredible!! Such lovely and caring people. The staff made my experience a whole lot better! The snorkeling was outstanding! Along with their other activities. Saw so many sharks, sting rays, star fish and other beautiful fishes. The accommodation was absolutely stunning!! Pictures don’t do the place justice. Truly an unforgettable experience. A short seaplane ride to this beautiful accommodation. Highly recommended

We had 5 relaxing days on the over water villa. We walked to breakfast and dinner, enjoyed the white sand beaches and did sunset yoga. We also did the manta ray quest and nurse shark tour.

Breakfast n dinner Buffet was top 10. Would be better if the hotel could arrange non-halal food items at a different corner of the buffet.

Outrigger was exceptional in everything , from the moment we stepped onto the island the welcome was from out this world , the staff , The food , the facilities , the departure too In our years of travelling we have never been treated with royalty ever , hats off to you guys , Shahud , Victoria ,Shashanka ,just to mention a few ,thank you for making our 15th Annivessary so worth while 🥰
