Plaza Apartment

Not a lot.

The apartment backs onto several night clubs that were still open at 5:30am and very very noisy. Apartment wasn't clean and the photos that advertise it are very old, the terrace which is the selling point isn't anywhere as nice as the photos make out

The location was superb, the shower was great and the kitchen was new. Very well equipped (fridge, washing machine etc) and lovely view of the port. Spacious even though there are not two bedrooms.

Details such as entrance crummy, apt a little smelly/maybe closed too long, someone else using terrace, dirty laundry left by doorstep, very noisy (nightlife even on weekday and garbage collection of glass bottles early am) and absolutely no supply of water or some coffee in jar for example.

The apartment is well located, right at the heart of the old port, although that meant more trouble than benefits. The place is comfortable for 3 people (1 double bed and 1 single bed) but no more than that. The place could be much better, including the cleanliness of the entrance and the surroundings. The place has potential for a café or some other type of business.

The place was supposedly suitable for 4 people but there are only two beds (1 full + 1 twin). The forth person slept on a very uncomfortable sofa bed. The shower wasn’t working. Very poor communication with the host. Very difficult to park around the property. Had to walk for almost thirty minutes carrying our bags.

The property was quaint and centrally located in the popular area so it had easy access to the shops and restaurants.

Since our stay was on a Saturday it was loud until 4 am with the sounds of the club located behind the apartment and the restaurants around the apartment. The apartment was not "soundproof" even with the shudders and windows closed.

Sofa beds not very comfortable.

Fabulous location, right in the middle of the cafe scene in Chania. The roof terrace has a splendid view all around and the windows of the apartment have views in just about all directions.

The downside to the central location is that it's noisy until the early hours, but then that was to be expected but don't go there looking for peace and quiet until around 5am! Also, just as well I had my penknife as we couldn't find a corkscrew amongst the various kitchen implements.
