Gianina Apartment

+Central location within a few minutes walk from most sights, restaurants etc. Around ten minutes walk to the bus station (from/to airport). +Good, stable wifi. +Spacious for three or even four people. +Quiet despite the location. At least in the spring.

-Freezing like an ice box! The AC warming only helped one room, really. On top of that, ALL of the windows were open as we arrived. Probably to hide the... -...whiff of sewer rising from the bathroom! That thing lingered throughout the stay, although faded along the way. Someone had forgotten maintenance flushes/running of water, huh? -The shower gave only around 3-5 minutes of warm water per evening, before switching between icicles and nuclear winter. For three people to share. That's faster than a military shower and an impossible equation, especially with a teen in tow. Did I mention it hit pretty close to zero (degrees Celsius) outside in the night? -Not particularly comfortable mattress, but at least the quilt was good. -Way, way too overpriced for the experience. A true rip-off, if you think of it. -The only reasons we didn't leave were sinking one third of our budget in this and the fact that there weren't really affordable better options left in town. And there would be more to complain about, but let's leave it at this. Additional info for those who might be interested: 1) The toilet was placed pretty low, so if you cannot stand up all that well, this place is not for you. Also, there are a couple flights of stairs and no lift/elevator. 2) The TV is basically a scam and a completely futile decoration. Everything is either hidden behind a master PIN code or pay per view with poor selection. Don't expect to cuddle in for a romantic view of anything but one channel of advertisements. The sofa was comfy, though.

The water heater is not good enough. We had to wait for long time to get warm shower.

The apartment was very spacious and in a great location. Communication was excellent, and she was able to arrange a cab to the airport. The apartment was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware, and glasses.

The bed in the first room was very uncomfortable. Very hard! Also, there was a nightclub across the street, which made for a bit of noise when the window was open.

We enjoyed a two night stay in this lovely traditional, cool and airy apartment in good location, well equipped and spacious. Air conditioning too and a small balcony where you can watch the world go by.
