Apartment Citadela

This was an incredibly comfortable, one-bedroom apartment located in a 16th century palace in the old town area just west of Diocletian's Palace. While an old building, the apartment is up to date. The bed was great, the kitchen was well-appointed, the bathroom was good-sized with a nice shower and plentiful hot water, and it has a small balcony where we enjoyed coffee in the morning. There is a washing machine that came in very handy for us. The host went above and beyond. She met us to give us the keys; provided lots of information on Split; was incredibly communicative, responsive, and enthusiastic; and had drinks and snacks available without charge. Most importantly, when I got sick the morning of our departure, she was understanding and empathetic, allowed us to stay a bit later so I could get more rest, and helped us find an open pharmacy on a Sunday so we could get something to help me feel better. I cannot thank her enough for this. The location is excellent, right above the most popular gelato shop in Split, and just minutes walks from the main sights and harbor and numerous restaurants and cafes. There is a small Spar grocery store a mere 110 meters away. This area is pedestrianized only, but the nearest drop-off point is also just 120 meters away over flat ground. The price was more than reasonable given comparable units. This is a busy area, but the widows have good sound insulation. Still, if you are a light sleeper, you need to be aware of this as some sound at night can still seep in.

Nothing, really. There were no major issues, and as I said above, I cannot recommend the apartment enough.

It’s a lovely apartment, spotlessly clean, right in the middle of the old town & about 3 min walk to the sea front!! Right below is the best ice cream shop in Split!! & we never came through our front door without buying a cone of every flavour we fancied that day.!! The hostess, Blansa, was super friendly & very helpful with anything we needed to know.!! & bless her, she gave us both a little gift on leaving.!! We would definitely stay in this Apartment again, if we return to Split,! Jan & Jeni.

Honestly, cannot think of anything we didn’t like - as it was so well equipped,!

There wasn't a breakfast included, but she surprised me with a wonderful sampling of her country's local brandy and wine.

Nothing. She was quick to respond, friendly, attentive, and helpful. She answered every question quickly and friendly, and gave me local tips on where to shop so that I'm not ripped off.

This amazing appartement with lovely balcony, is located in the middle of the old town. Blansa is such a great host!

My husband and I loved everything about our stay. The hostess was magnificent and so helpful. The apartment exceeded my very fussy expectations. The location was ideal and central to everything. Our hostess made sure to give us great recommendations for eating out, icecream, shopping and anything else that was of interest to us.

Perfect location right in the heart of the old town and close to all the main attractions. Being situated above the best ice cream in Split and some of the best restaurants and bars also helps! lovely comfortable apartment with all you need for a ‘home from home’ and some great little touches like brandy, adaptors, sweets to greet you on check in. Blansa was a great hostess too and makes you feel very welcome and comfortable.

The location is exceptional. A beautiul old building with a stunning balcony to sit out on .and watch the world go by. Blansa the host is Fabulous and cannot do enough for us.Thank you Blansa

The apartment is exceptional - clean, well appointed and nicely equipped. Blansa is a fabulous host, providing us with a wealth of information to make our stay in split very enjoyable.The location is ideal , making it easy to explore old town and the Riva.

A very warm and helpful welcome by our host . We loved the location and found the apartment very comfortable and homely. We had everything we needed and our host gave us lots of useful hints.

It was a little noisy but that could not be helped due to the location.

Fantastic location in centre of Split, even better if you like Ice Cream as the best in Split is next door. walk straight in to town or down to the harbour. Our host was magnificent and could not do enough for us. The apartment was great with everything you need and very comfortable.
